Exposed linear incremental encoders

Categories: ,

Description

Fagor’s Exposed Linear Incremental Encoders are high-precision measuring scales used to track position and speed in motion control systems, such as CNC machines and digital readouts (DROs). Unlike absolute encoders, incremental models require a homing routine after power loss to establish a reference point. The “exposed” design offers excellent accuracy and resolution at a lower cost but must be installed in protected environments to prevent damage from debris, coolant, or contaminants. Ideal for applications where cost-effectiveness and high precision are prioritized, and
where adequate sealing from harsh conditions is possible.
