Elektra – Electrostatic filter

The electrostatic filters ELEKTRA series are built from robust folded and painted sheets, equipped with strong industrial electrostatic cells and fans which unite power with silence. They are built for use on all types of machine tools which use lubro-refrigerants, and are mainly addressed to processes working with neat oil. The range is composed of four different models with a throughput of between 400 and 1600 m3/h. THEY DO NOT USE CONSUMABLES MATERIALS TO BE REPLACED. All the filters are equipped with a power circuit which is protected from accidental short circuit and any discharges between the electrodes. Every filter is provided with an ON/OFF switch, connected power warning light, high tension warning light, section obstruction warning light and security micro-switch.

The low pressure effect exerted by the fan causes the polluted air from the oleaginous particles to be routed into the extractor fan. It then passes through one or more pre-filters to subsequently be filtered by the electrostatic cell. The first section of the cell, the ionizing zone, is constructed of tungsten wires which are powered by direct current to 10 kV, which creates an electrical field causing the particles to be charged with polar electricity. In the second section, the collecting zone, constructed from pure aluminum plates powered to 5 kV of direct current, the particles are firmly restrained. The air then passes through a finisher filter to be permanently expelled. The system is highly efficient and the cell is capable of restraining pollutants with dimensions of between 10 and 0.01 microns with a concentration of up to 50 mg/m3 with contained load losses (8
mmH2O with clogged filter).

MACHINE TOOLS: multiple machining lathes, CNC, threading machines, gear cutting machines, griding machines, cold pressing machines, etc.

Eco Tech

COMPLIANCE TO SAFETY STANDARDS
The ECO TECH has been designed and manufactured in accordance to the laws and standards set forth by the American Conference Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH). The ECO TECH meets or exceeds the T.V.L. (Threshold Limit Values) and T.W.A. (Time-Weighted Average) for the maximum acceptable concentration of the different polluting substances (for machine tool mist the maximum value is 5 mg/m3.).

MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
The ECO TECH performs with a very high level of filtration efficiency (up to 99,997%). This innovative design allows the equipment to operate at a very high level of performance due to the unique four stages of filtration and separation utilized.

QUIET OPERATION
The unique design of the ECO TECH is constructed to minimize noise pollution. Due to the air flow pattern and the layout of the internal filters, the ECO TECH operates at only 73-76 dB. Quiet operation means a quieter manufacturing facility!

OPTIONS
Depending on the application and the requirement, the ECO TECH can be supplied with an optional absolute rated HEPA
after filter (rated at 99,997% efficient). In addition any other special filter can be supplied for specific needs. Continuous oil drainage can be supplied for high mist applications.

Contaminated air with heavy oil mist from the machine application enters the ECO TECH and passes through the first stage centrifugal/mechanical separating chamber, which is composed by a helical system and a metal screen. The centrifugal inlet chamber has the same cross section as the intake opening thereby reducing pressure drop. Due to the centrifugal force created by the fan, the heavy mist impacts the helical insert and separates from the air. The screen in the chamber prevents its entrainment back into the air flow, and drives them to slide along the walls of the chamber and fall below by gravity, onto the oil collection hopper. Oil is then collected in a small tank and recycled if required. A large portion of the oil droplets in suspension at this point have been separated, and the air now passes through the drop separator and the wire metal mesh pre-filter. Due to the efficient operation of these three levels of filtration, all oil mist has been removed from the air stream. To further remove any possible remaining impurities, like micro mists and oil vapors, the air passes through a final high efficiency pleated cartridge filter, which is made by polypropylene and cellulose. The top quality pleated filter cartridge contains a large volume of surface area for long life. The air is finally exhausted through the discharge grate located on the top of the machine.

Microil – Turbine mist collector

The Microil series of turbine style mist collectors have been designed for use on all machine tools using water based or whole oil based coolants. The range consists of two models fitted with different turbine blades and motors to provide a good overall choice (up to 7 different combinations) of evacuation capacity from 600 to 3000 m3/h (353 to 1765 scfm), to suit the size of the machine tools involved. All Microil Mist Collector models can be modified with pre- and post-filters at any time, to suit the application and materials worked by the machine tool. This guarantees the ideal set-up for the each application. Microil Mist Collectors can also be supplied (on request) complete with installation kits (supports, stands, hose, clamps, fixing plates, etc.).

The mist laden air is evacuated from the machine tool by the negative pressure created by our special backwardly curved turbine impeller. The air enters the Microil collector housing at a high tangential speed caused by the powerful turbine. A coalescing action takes place where the small micro-particles of mist form together into larger droplets. The droplets, now in a liquid state, are recovered and flow out the drainage pipe back to the coolant sump. The specially designed turbine impeller has been dynamically balanced so that NO vibration will be created or passed down to the machine tool. The air then passes to the second filtration stage, which consists of a replaceable coalescing type pre-filter and a large pleated cellulose filter cartridge ( certificate, classification “M”, directive DIN EN 60335-2) which has a very large surface area for low pressure drop and long life. The dual combination of dynamic elimination and static filtration ensures a high level of performance equal to 98% removal. With the addition of the optional post filter we are able to increase the performance of the filtration system to 99.98% efficiency.

Kube – compact mist collector

KUBE does not have any “pre-formed inlet” for suction, which allows, in the most common case of vertical mounting, to fit directly the mist collector on the
machine tool, with a simple kit, resulting in savings of time, effort, and last but not least, in a very pleasant aesthetic result.

KUBE can be installed both, horizontally and vertically, without any additional step and without using any additional accessory or mounting bracket.

All KUBE models are available with a differential pressure gauge, as an option, to monitor the filter life.

All motors fit on the KUBE series are ENERGY SAVING and provide performance equivalent to competitive products that consume twice as much, in some cases even triple, electricity.

Maintenance is simple and fast: everything can be accessed through a few screws, without complex or dangerous maneuvers.

The cartridges, both filtration and post-filtration, as well as the droplet pre-filter, can be replaced in seconds, without having to take off any mechanical component. All this translates into a saving valuable resources.

Under request the KUBE series can be equipped not only with high efficiency cartridges, class “M” according to IFA BGIA classification, efficiency 99,98% (DIN EN 60335-2), but also with ABSOLUTE FILTER cartridges type HEPA in both classes: H13 (efficiency 99.997% Dop) and H14 (99.999% efficiency Dop).
